Kyle D. Loveless Image

Kyle D. Loveless

Kyle D. Loveless has been involved in Oklahoma politics since before he was eligible to vote. He began his political career as an intern for Congressman Don Young of Alaska, later working full-time as a staff assistant to Congressman Ernest Istook. As he continued his education at Georgetown University, he rose to the position of Legislative Director while also working weekends for the National Republican Congressional Committee, playing a role in the GOP’s takeover of the U.S. House of Representatives. Before graduating from Georgetown, Kyle helped shape several key pieces of legislation that benefited not only Oklahomans but also small business employers across the nation, all while working for a conservative Congressman in a Democratic-controlled House of Representatives under President Bill Clinton.

Kyle then founded Phoenix Consulting, a corporate and political consulting firm. In its first year, the company assisted Fortune 100 companies such as Wal-Mart, Dollar General, and Ford Motor Company. Phoenix also helped several Chambers of Commerce navigate legislation and provided insights into the political landscape, enabling clients to expand. Under Kyle's leadership, Phoenix Consulting worked with many elected officials, from statewide offices to city councils, across multiple election cycles.

Kyle later ran for office, winning a seat as a State Senator. He passed critical legislation addressing the widespread issue of teachers who became sex offenders and then moved to different districts without detection, a practice often referred to as “passing the trash.” His efforts were profiled in both local and national news. Within the first year of the legislation taking effect, over 390 teachers who had sexually abused children lost their teaching licenses and were unable to find new teaching positions.

Kyle earned several awards for his stance on business issues and his advocacy against wasteful spending, conservative awards, and 2nd Amendment group awards.  A lasting accomplishment Kyle contributed to was helping secure the final funding for the First Americans Museum, located at the intersection of I-35 and I-40, which drives millions of dollars in visitors from across the globe.

After the sale and closure of his family business, Kyle spent two and a half years as Chief Operating Officer at an Oklahoma-based market research firm. He played a key role in securing some of the company's largest contracts and helped the firm recover after facing the threat of shutdown during the spring of 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kyle is married to Amy, and together they have three daughters and a son. In his free time, he enjoys watching OU football, taking his kids to the park, and watching movies with them.
